Arrival.  Please read the following!  Please be patient as we navigate a new procedure for heath and safety purposes!

Accent will open at 7 am. If you are registered for Accent, please enter through the rear door to the Cafe. Parents will not be allowed in the building. If you have ordered breakfast, your student will also enter through the cafe door to Accent. If you arrive before 0830 am, you will be charged for Accent. 

Beginning at 0845 am, Prek-Grade 3 will enter in the front of the building. Please do not gather in large groups. Students will go directly to their classrooms. Ms. LaRovera and Ms. McKay will meet their classes in front. Please do not park in front of the building for the buses do drop off the bus students in front at 9 am. I would plan to arrive before 9 am to avoid the buses. Park on the street as far away from the school as possible, plan on walking. We would suggest a drop off of the older students only to avoid traffic congestion. Ansonia PD will be present but be patient and aware of your surroundings. Students must be wearing masks to enter the building. No parents or visitors at this time. 

Beginning at 0845 am, Grades 4-8 parents will drop off their students in the rear at the door closest to the rectory. Faculty and staff will be present to greet your child. Students must wear their masks to enter the building. Please follow the yellow arrows for traffic flow. Please do not exit your vehicle at drop-off. There will no visitors or parents in the building at this time. Please email your teacher with any concerns as this is not the time to discuss issues. Please plan on saying goodbye to your students in your vehicles. 

Dismissal-All students will be dismissed in the rear of the building at the door closest to the rectory. For new parents, pass the school and take a right before the church. Drive slowly and safely. 

Prek and K will dismiss beginning at 2:50 pm.

Grades 1, 2 will dismiss from 3:00 pm-3:05 pm.

Grades 3, 4, will dismiss from 3:05-3:10 pm.

Grades 5 and 6 will dismiss from 3:10-3:15 pm

Grades 7 and 8 will dismiss at 3:15 pm.

Please be patient. if you are late, just remain in the line of vehicles and we will assist you. We understand that life and traffic happens, this is a guide only. Please do not exit your vehicles. Faculty and staff will assist your children into your vehicle. Although we know that Assumption is a family and you miss your family, do not exit your vehicles. Please remain in your vehicles as we attempt an efficient drive-thru system of dismissal. Please do not park your vehicle. Please email your teacher, principal or call the main office with any questions. Faculty and staff will be outside to help guide you through the process. 

Again, please be patient and flexible as we work out the kinks of the new system that is in place for the heath and safety of all! This is a work in progress and will take several days to make a habit but it is done in schools in the area and does work with practice. 

If you have more than one student, please advise your oldest to dismiss with your youngest to assist in the process. We will make sure all siblings know the procedure before dismissal time.
