A message from our principal:

Dear Assumption School Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. We look forward to educating our students with innovative programs where instruction is student-centered. Our mission is to guide students to the presence of God in our world and challenge and educate the whole child. The world is different now than it was last year and you have developed a learning environment at home for your student as we have here at Assumption School.

We especially recognize now that in order to be successful, our children need support from both home and school. We now truly understand a strong partnership with you will make a tremendous impact in your child’e education. As true partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and will promise to do our very best to carry out those responsibilities. We ask for your continued support and guidance by ensuring that he/she :

*Attends school daily

*Completes all assignments daily

*Reads daily to develop a lifelong love of reading to improve literacy skills

*Shares school experiences with you so you are aware of his/her school life

*Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area

*Knows what you expect from him/her to succeed in school

Although school will look different this year we hope to have you back in the school as volunteers soon. Volunteering as parent ambassadors, home/school events, school-wide events, and student recognition events are important and students greatly benefit from your involvement.

Lastly, please continue to attend Mass regularly as a family. Jesus invites us to his table, especially our students as he says, ‘Let the little children come to me.” Bringing children to Mass helps nurture their inner life and we feel this is especially important with the uncertainties of late.

This wonderful Assumption school faculty and staff and I are so privileged to be part of the Assumption family. We thank you for your support. We are stronger together!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Rebecca Goddard

Principal
